This week’s challenge: Draw a drenched pony. (10min)
Grump Drowned Gem pony.
She kinda looks like Fluttershy now that I get a chance to look at it. Huh. I hustled pretty hard on this one. So much so that the layering is a total wreck. I got a laugh midway when I realized I’d plopped highlights on the sketch layer. Ah well.
Thanks for stopping by!
This week’s challenge: Draw a pony in physical contact with another pony. (20min)
Graceful Princess landing 10/10.
Rainbow Dash is not so impressed.
She’ll be okay, I promise.
I thought I’d have time to actually do inks hahahahahaha. That pose was murder to figure out. I nearly forgot to draw Twilight’s forelegs entirely haha.
This week’s challenge was: Draw a pony with elongated limbs. (10-15min)
I sorta alicorn-legged Fluttershy and the pose is all weird. I can’t really blame you for being perturbed Fluttershy. It was different in my head. Ah well.I unexpectedly had like 2 minutes left so I sloshed some lazy shading around and some color behind it. Not really sure how that even happened!
This week’s challenge was: Three pony doodles on triangular canvases. (5min ea).
I chose ANGRY HOERS. Best facial expression hoers… Well, in competition with Rara I suppose.
As I got more comfortable, I think the quality got a little better. It’s easy to tell the first one (left) was a bit bleh and rushed. And it got progressively easier to roll after that. Maybe I should start with warmups pre-challenge. That would be too smart. heh.
Anyhoo, I’m not sure how well I kept to 5m as I just sorta drew until I looked at the clock so I’m certain I ran into the 6 or 7m mark on some of them. And I did not include the final arrangement of the pieces as part of the timer. All of that was after sketching. I had triangles in mind before I was drawing, but I didn’t draw them beforehand. I figured it would be easier to frame them afterwards.Had a lot of fun with this one, ya!
